Accomplishments

  • Over 18 years of continuous SWAT experience, participating in numerous high risk operations as an operator, leader and manager.
  • Led numerous high-risk operations as a Detective with the North County Regional Gang Task. As a case agent, I led two wiretap investigations spanning over the course of two years resulting in dozens of Federal Indictments.
  • Responsible for investigating complex gang related homicides, leading the homicide unit and collaborating with the prosecution team for successful convictions.
  • 2018 Recipient of the Excellence in Pursuit of Justice award from The United States Attorney’s Office.
  • 2009 Recipient of the Tony Zeppetella Award for the recovery of the most illegal firearms in the calendar year.
  • Responsible for assisting in the annual training plan for the department SWAT Team and Firearms Training Unit within the department.
  • Conducted military operations in part of Operation Noble Eagle and responded to the attack on The Pentagon Sep. 11th 2001.
  • Relief Commander and guard at the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier.
