Shortly after receiving my office administration certificate, I took my Emergency Medical Responder course, which ignited my passion for assisting those during trying times. I then transitioned into the role of being a care aid in home care. This change in my career reflects my strong desire to directly engage with patients and provide hands-on care. Over the past four years, I have worked as a care aid, being an advocate and delivering compassionate care to various patients. Throughout this time, I have developed strong skills in patient care, communication, and teamwork. Currently, I am in my final semester of practical nursing school, where I have been able to build on my practical skills and expand my knowledge in nursing practices. My background as a care aid greatly influences my approach as a nurse and emphasizes the importance of compassionate and holistic patient care.
