- Assists in overall construction coordination, planning
and identifying potential risks and resolving field
technical issues
- Provide support for the Construction and
Development team, including the Director, Project
Manager(s) and Superintendent(s).
- Provide and create cost forecasts and databases.
- Complete quantity take-offs.
- Developing scopes of work.
- Communication with contractors/ trades.
- Preparing purchase orders and contracts.
- Collecting and monitoring job start documents
- Obtain and review shop drawing(s) and product
data from the contractors and trades, review of
shop drawing(s) and product data and provide
coordination with suppliers, contractors,
subcontractors and trades affected by the shop
drawing(s) and products.
- Technical review, constructability and conflicts.
Generate technical submittals.
- Preparing, monitoring and updating of construction
schedules.
- Review and process requests for information from
the site superintendent(s), suppliers, trades,
contractors and subcontractors.
- Developing and issuance of Contemplated
Change Notices (CCN), collecting and analyzing
extra work pricing from suppliers, trades, contractors
and subcontractors in relation to CCN's.
- Review and analyze time and material extras.
- Attend and lead site meetings as needed and
required. Take meeting minutes as needed and
issue meeting minutes to all required parties.
- Visit site(s) to monitor progress and provide
assistance for superintendents.
- Any and all other duties as assigned by your
supervisor to support the construction and
development team.
- Obtained samples from various sites including material source, customer sites, and MTO job sites
- Performed CCIL Type C testing (sieve analysis, wash loss, percent crushed particles etc) to ensure
product compliance with Ontario Provincial Standards and Specifications
- Organized and analyzed test data in database and communicated the test results to the Operations
team
- Assisted in troubleshooting to address customer issues and/ or product non-compliance
- Assisted in testing of material for research projects and specialty products.
- Worked flexible hours across night, weekend and
holiday shifts.
- OACETT Member Pursuing a C Tech designation
- Valid Drivers License - Class G
- Working knowledge of construction engineering technology, contract administration and inspection practices
Working Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Knowledge of Construction Management Software's
