Hello! My name is Brooke, and I have recently moved to Halifax, where I am excited to grow professionally. In my most recent contract position, I was an Administrative Assistant at Festival Antigonish Summer Theatre. There, I honed my office support abilities. I was handed the responsibility of continuing the Community Access Program project that had been started before I began. This project helped me develop my community engagement skills and sparked a new passion for making the arts more accessible to people, which I would like to continue in the future. Before my time with Festival Antigonish, I worked at Hines Pharmachoice for over seven years, starting as a Front Store Clerk and eventually advancing to Pharmacy Assistant. Here, I learned the critical skills of reliability and how to adapt to an ever-changing work environment. Resolving customer complaints became my specialty, and collaborating with my team to ensure the pharmacy ran smoothly was key. This fast pace and important work gave me great pride every day, and planted the seed of my desire to help people within my community.
