
Assumed position of Electrical supervisor at the B2Gold Back River site. In charge of overseeing crews of up to 12 journeyman electricians, maintaining safety and LOTO compliance, procurement of project materials, delegating work tasks to ensure deadlines met, design and completion of turnover packages including quality control documentation and redlined drawings, Electrical system design and build for the MLA site camp including commissioning of a 1.5mega watt diesel generation system.
Working at the B2Gold Back River project, successfully participated in the construction of a new 500 man camp along with various other buildings/warehouses on site. Constructed 600v distribution systems, 208v distribution systems, addressable fire alarm, installed heat trace systems, along with maintenance and troubleshooting/repairs after turnover. Participated in Quality Control checks including torque spec checks, megger checks, and ensuring proper cabling installation.
Tasked with the wiring and electrical fit up of newly built Canadian navy arctic patrol ships. Participated in cable install, wiring of vfd’s and motors of various sizes, installing high voltage cables directly from diesel generators within the ship, and performed quality control checks and reports to ensure proper installation procedures followed. Participated in a strict LOTO and safety program to ensure work was completed safely and in a timely fashion.
Responsible for a wide variety of electrical installs including residential, commercial, and industrial new builds and service work. Dealing directly with clients to achieve their end goals in a timely and cost effective manner.
