 I am writing to express my strong interest in the Management Forester position with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, as advertised. With over a decade of experience in forest measurement, scaling, and compliance, I am excited to contribute to Ontario’s sustainable forest management goals.

Currently, as a Log Scaler with GreenFirst, I work closely with forest management teams, applying a solid understanding of Ontario’s Crown Forest Sustainability Act and compliance monitoring. My technical knowledge and field experience in log scaling allow me to deliver accurate measurements and insights that drive operational and sustainability objectives. This role has also reinforced my skills in collaboration and problem-solving, essential for working alongside stakeholders, communities, and Indigenous groups.

 While I am not yet a Registered Professional Forester (RPF), I am dedicated to fulfilling the requirements necessary to obtain this designation and would eagerly pursue any steps required to achieve it. I am committed to developing my qualifications to further contribute to the Ministry’s mission.
