I run the dock. Bring trailers up to doors, supervise there unloading, checking in of freight, the running of freight and the loading of freight. I verify load quality and that the trailers are being loaded to there fullest. I also train other freight handler on how to load, unload, receive, lab, run and load freight. I make manifest for all outgoing trailers, add seals to all outgoing trailers and security seals and trackers to our high value trailers. I also changed the way we receive and unload outbound freight increasing productivity and free up more empty trailers to be loaded. I make sure that my supervisors are free to concentrate on what they are working on. I also make sure that before my crew leaves that all the freight is loaded into trailers, the trash and wood are all emptied and the dock looks clean and organized.
