- Operate lead hoe on private development projects. Managing, and training civil utility crews for water/ sanitary sewer installations and repairs. Completing jobs safely, and to city engineers specifications.
- Perform thorough pre-inspections on equipment. Ensuring machines are serviced daily and are in good working order. Checking service intervals before commencing work, and being mindful of any possible changes throughout work shift.
- Excavating residential/ commercial foundations with 290, 250 excavators. Digging deep utilities with 290, 350 excavators equipped with topcon gps. Backfilling ditch, foundations with compact track loaders, compact excavators, mid-size excavators. Site grading/ sub grade prep with excavators. Right of way clean up with graders, dozers for pipeline work.

- Lead hand for water and sewer crew. Following direction from my supervisor and coordinating crew members to ensure tasks are completed to supervisors satisfaction. Within the first 3 years I gained experience running articulating dump trucks, and sheepsfoot compactors, wheeled loader. The following 2 years is when I started getting into running mid/ large size excavators and small/ mid size dozers.
- Running 650 Hitachi for 3 months. I loaded end dumps with fill for a berm project for 2 month. Then reclaimed the borrow pit with the 650, and 750 dozer.
- Used a 460 excavator, and 35 ton haul truck to strip overburden from a gravel pit. Loaded haul trucks from borrow pit to backfill kilometers of irrigation canal. stripping topsoil from right of ways with excavators. Backfilling water/ sewer tenches and condition material with excavators.
- Learned how to stage trucks in an open cut to minimize time between loads. Any time in between loads would be spent clearing haul road/ ramps. Or stockpiling material if in hard pack to reduce load times.
