Summary

I am a registered psychiatric nurse with 28 years experience working the field of mental health and addictions. My role as a mental health liaison since 2006 has been to provide crisis assessment, intervention and brief therapy for community mental health and addictions. With the introduction of Connect Care, I have developed a good working knowledge of this system and have been able to support and assist clinicians in the implementation of this electronic health record in accordance to documentation standards of practice. Part of my liaison role has been to assist in improving service delivery for clients at various care transition points. I believe that I also possess strong leadership and critical thinking skills that have resulted in good working alliances with clinicians and clinics across East Central Zone. I have more recently been taking on more responsibilities in the clinical supervisor role to assist with implementing ongoing clinical practice supports as well as assist with resource allocation to support ongoing service delivery needs.
