I am a collaborative, creative and caring early years teacher who creates stimulating learning environments and experiences that excite students about learning and foster academic and social-emotional growth. I have in-depth knowledge of best practices in structured literacy and the Orton-Gillingham approach. I cultivate positive and productive relationships with students, parents and staff to create a community of belonging and meet learners’ diverse needs. I develop and deliver challenging, differentiated and individualized programming integrating the arts, Indigenous perspectives, Universal Design for Learning and promote diversity, equity and inclusion in my classroom.
