• Conduct interviews with applicants and recipients of aid to assist in completing and clarifying application forms for eligibility determination. These interviews may take place in-person at the Department of Public Social Services, by phone, or at locations such as homes, hospitals, or nursing homes. Gather information on income, financial resources, and obligations, and resolve discrepancies through follow-up interviews, phone calls, or correspondence.

• Interpret program regulations and other pertinent material to applicants, recipients, and the general public.
