Mature LPN with over 2800 hours experience on a rural acute care peri-surgical unit. Dependable and hardworking, I want to further my education to increase the scope of care I can bring my patients.
While my interest in health care started years ago, it was furthered by my father in laws passion for his career as a Paramedic, and the satisfaction he received from helping those in need. In 2016, my wife and I spent a year in Houston Texas, volunteering at Memorial Hermann Hospital, and I enjoyed interacting with and filling the needs of the hurting. Coming back home I furthered my education, took the PN course at NSCC, and started working on the Surgical unit at VRH where I had enjoyed my final preceptorship. I enjoy meeting patients and helping them through their surgical journey.
Wanting to continue living (and working) in a rural setting with my wife and children, I had voiced many times that if only Acadia would start a bridging program I would apply. So here I am
