Skills

Shift lead:

During my time working at the Wilder Institute Calgary Zoo I was given the position of shift lead, this meant that I was the worker that would help with the other staff if they needed help with anything or needed to be trained this meant that staff would come to me if they needed problems solved

Working well with animals:

When Volunteering with the Calgary Zoo I would shadow the animal care staff and help them with tasks, be that cleaning or food prep So I have gained a lot of experience working with exotic animals through the position

Customer Relations:

Even if It was not common we do get some costumers that are regulars So it was important to keep relationships with them good to make sure that they feel welcomed and want to come back

Working with Teammates:

When working at the zoo there is a very big emphasis on working in a team and being able to communicate well with said team making sure that everyone knows what they are doing that day so every thing can go smoothly

Keeping animals in the past:

I also have kept animals in the past such as tarantula's so I do have some knowledge on basic husbandry and the products that are associated with it along what would be best combinations in order to get the best conditions for the animal

Well versed in maintenance:

While working at the calgary zoo I was taught how to to preform maintenance on the ice cream machines so i have experience working with equipment both small and large
