Social Planning and Research

• Assist people with intellectual disability to attend, travel to, and/or participate in faith communities, clubs, recreational groups, interest groups, and other community organizations as scheduled for the shift
• As directed by people, provide support on shift while upholding the protocols of the location
• Work within protocols and training to respond to behavioural needs/incidents that arise on shift
• Assist with medication administration, health treatments, and transportation as needed while fostering independence
• Provide crisis/emergency support as necessary on shift
• Adhere to health and safety standards at all times
• Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of all required records
• Researched community resources and services to provide accessibility and assistance to clients
