Left an industrial maintenance position in 2011 to gain more diverse experience in the electrician trade and now have a strong desire to get back to doing industrial maintenance where my skill set can be most effectively put to use.

  • Performed maintenance, programming and troubleshooting duties on Honeywell DCS system.

  • Completed the installation of new electrical and instrument equipment for plant upgrades and add-ons. Major projects including; re-wiring of all instrumentation for large area of the plant, wiring for movable handrail system for railcar loading, designing and wiring for traffic light system for trucks entering railcar area, assisting with upgrade and migration of Honeywell Legacy DCS system to Honeywell Experion system.
  • Interpreted and updated electrical drawings, schematics, and P&ID's as required for troubleshooting or to reflect changes.
  • Served several one-year terms on the safety committee, including time as co-chair, where we updated and developed safety procedures to improve overall safety awareness and quality of life for plant employees and management.
  • Served on a team to perform a hazard assessment of the entire plant.
  • Performed calibrations for flow, level, pressure, temperature and density instruments.
  • Performed safety interlock checks for plant shutdown systems.
  • Worked closely with operations, other maintenance personnel and management to quickly resolve plant issues to minimize downtime.
  • After leaving ERCO Worldwide, continued to perform the above duties as a contractor for several years until the plant shut down permanently in 2023.
