(George Brown College, Toronto, ON) Adaptive Stove Top:
An adaptable stove is a gadget that uses a hydraulic mechanism to change the cooking burner's height to accommodate wheelchair users. Four burners, and an electrical motor and shaft are the fundamental components of the hydraulic system. Using an Arduino MEGA 2560, a motor controller, and a stepper motor, the sink, tap, and lifting mechanism is an actuator. The micro-controller Arduino UNO is used to program a stepper motor. It has a twelve-inch vertical travel utilizing rollers that are controlled by push buttons. The lead screw and ball nut mechanism are connected by a time-belt pulley.
