Summary

Hello! My name is Beyonce Miller, and I am originally from the island of Roatan, Honduras in Central America. I arrived in Canada four years ago as an international student at Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo Ontario. I have now completed my studies, earning a bachelor’s degree with a major in English. I enjoyed my university years, but I am eager to now enter the workforce and dedicate myself to full-time work and acquiring new knowledge and experiences. I have considerable work experience over the past few summers and part-time during my academic years. I have gained a great deal of knowledge working in customer service at places such as May Court Shop and Value Village and working as a hotel receptionist in my home country dealing with staff and customers. I currently work part-time as a Keyholder at L.L Bean in the Boardwalk, Kitchener, where I perform several duties. These include opening and closing the store, training new staff, processing online and in-store returns, signing for deliveries, handling phone call inquiries and in person manners such as customer complaints. I believe that I would become a valuable employee because I have a friendly and professional disposition when dealing with customers, and I enjoy acquiring new skills that each job has to offer. I have also gained academic skills over the course of my studies that would be an asset to a variety of work environments. These skills include communication, time management, leadership, and the ability to get along with clients, supervisors, and fellow workers. Additionally, I am comfortable working with Word and Excel and am willing to learn other computer programs. Thank you for considering my application for full-time employment.
