- My nursing career, which began in 1995, has allowed me to gain a varied background in general surgery, acute medicine, and rehabilitation
- In 2004, I became a member of the Renal Team in Vancouver General Hospital, where I have spent the past two decades deepening my expertise in renal care
- My role have ranged from bedside hemodialysis nursing to serving as in-charge and providing vacation relief for the Patient Care Coordinator
- In 2018, I assumed the role of a transition nurse within the renal program, where I further enhanced my skills by working with patients across the spectrum of peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, and home hemodialysis
- My efforts in this capacity significantly reduced both the length of hospital stays and the training duration for patients transitioning to peritoneal and home hemodialysis
- In 2022, I expanded my scope even further by taking on the role of a kidney clinic nurse, where I now focus on preventing the progression of renal disease
