Beshoy Wassef

Hello I am Beshoy and I am a 2nd year computer science student. I have a passion for learning and developing new skills even outside but especially in computer science. Working at a restaurant and engaging in team school projects has made me realize that I thrive working with others as I learn their perspectives and engage in problem solving. I find myself taking initiative in group environments. This summer I am looking to take my skills to the next level by developing new skills and learning from experienced people in my industry.

Edmonton Transit System route map

• Using Python, I have built an interactive map that takes two acknowledged locations from a user and draws the shortest real-time bus route on a snapshot of Edmonton in Google Maps
• This project required extracting data from multiple files and utilizing numerous appropriate data structures to organize and use information for project goal purposes
• This project displays the current real-time routes in Edmonton

Salesforce

• I am currently pursuing and almost completing a certification in Salesforce administration

Enrolling and graduating from the St. Mary St. Mark leadership program, I learned highly valuable skills such as public speaking, communication and an introduction to sales. After completing the program, I competed in a formal public speaking event where I placed 3rd out of 20 students.
