This experience allowed me to work with animals/ provide for them in a professional setting. While working this job, I was required to administer medications, safely break up dog fights if they occurred, and safely handle reactive dogs. It taught me a lot regarding animal behavior, and how dogs specifically learn.

Alternatively, York Bark and Play also offered a boarding service for cats, so I was taught how to maintain their spaces as well.

As this was my first job, it taught me how to interact with others in a professional setting, and how to efficiently organize and clean a workspace.

Most importantly, it allowed me to interact with my community outside of my primary institution.
