My plan was to test myself against one of the hardest military selection processes in the world, and I proved I could excel by earning Section Leader and Best Shooter. However, my long-term career vision has always been high-tier civilian security—specifically Executive Protection and Close Protection. I chose to transition away from the Legion while knowing i still wanted to be in the military after assessing the reality on the ground over there and deciding the proximity to family that comes with serving in Canada coupled with the overwhelming advantages i would have if i just start building my career path through CIT, advanced driving, and EP training trumped my initial desire to serve abroad in France.
