Krafty Kitchen + Bar is a small, intimate fine dining restaurant that relies heavily on it's FOH team to orchestrate a top of the line dining experience. In my time there I swiftly became a valued member of that team. The character traits I possess align seamlessly within a serving position, which translated into becoming a top performer among the FOH team. Ownership + management made me the designated trainer for new employees due to my welcoming personality and knowledge of service standards. The restaurant does not exclusively do dinner service. I've been apart of many off-site events which require far more leadership, organization, and meticulous execution. The following are examples of service standards I demonstrated to become a top performer:

• Enhanced customer satisfaction by promptly attending to their needs and providing personalized service.
• Increased sales with upselling techniques and thorough knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions.
• Demonstrated strong multitasking skills by managing multiple tables simultaneously without compromising service quality.
• Addressed customer complaints or concerns professionally, ensuring swift resolution and maintaining positive relationships.
• Collaborated with team members during busy shifts for efficient workflow and excellent guest experiences.
• Contributed to inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management when supplies were low.
• Used effective communication between front-of-house and back-of-house staff for frictionless operations.
• Provided attentive service during high-volume periods without sacrificing attention to detail or guest rapport.
• Supported team members during peak hours, creating a collaborative work environment that enhanced overall productivity levels.
• Developed strong rapport with regular customers through genuine hospitality efforts leading to repeat business.

I got the privilege to work with a handful of property managers and business owners that gave me unique insights into Kelowna real estate. Within a month they appointed me into a leadership role in which I managed a team of 2-6 people to perform a given job effectively.

This was my first job within the service industry and full time employment. In my time there I learned how to operate within a dysfunctional system and team. This fostered problem solving skills I have carried with me since.

Starting from the bottom of FIBA referee in 2014 I eventually tied with my mentor as the youngest referee in BC basketball history to be reffing in the upper youth division alongside the highest ranking referees in BC. At such a young age I learned how to navigate mentally through being treated extremely disrespectfully, verbally abused, and overall hated by the community you serve. These experiences contributed positively to my personal character development.
