Ben Newall

I am currently a soon-to-be-finished student at the University of Ottawa, hoping to finish my history degree. I am only able to speak English and a very small amount of French. I am seeking employment where I can leverage my service skills and use my hands-on experience in the service industry.

I have strong personal proficiency in stocking and industrial work. These skills, coupled with my volunteer experience, make me an ideal candidate to work in the service industry.

I work well in team environments, have a strong work ethic, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

I am looking for a position that will allow me to leverage these skills within a growing and enthusiastic organization.

I am currently still in school, but my classes will finish in December 2025. I will not receive my diploma and graduation until June 2026, as there is no winter graduation.

Job Hour Availability

My availability for work hours come January is any time possible that can be given, although I personally prefer early morning or nighttime shifts.

Markham Food Bank Volunteer - 2018-2022

• Assisted customers with obtaining products, completed internal warehousing tasks and customer service

I worked in the following positions over the past five years.

Dollar Tree Full Time Employment 2020-2021

• Full time employment at Dollar tree in Markham as i deferred my University scholarship for a year due to covid-19 restrictions and regulations.
• Worked mostly doing freight and shelf stocking with part time of my work also being in cashiering.

Dollar tree Part Time Employment during summer and breaks 2021-2023

• Worked almost exclusively dealing with freight and shelf stocking during this time particularly during early morning and late night shifts.

The Village Grocer Full time summer employment in Food Production and Stocking Department May 2024-Sep 2024

• Full time preparing food in an industrial kitchen for sail in a grocery store as well as stocking said food in the storage facilities of the building.
