Affiliations

  • I am a full time school teacher with a Masters Degree in diverse learners. I am able to manage my time very efficiently between my full time job and assisting coaching at every high performance training sessions at the Provincial training dojo (NUMA).
  • I am a well-rounded athlete who has won the Ottawa marathon as a Junior (42.2 km) in 3 hours and 51 min. I have opened up climbing routes (NS climbing guide) and I have been a director for Climb NS in the past.
  • My fahter was a National champion in white water kayaking and he taught me about mental toughness, mindset and visualization. I was able to pass it down to my kids, having my son with the Nationals in gymnastics when he was 15. He was also a huge contributor for winning the Bronze for the men't Canada Games team, making history, in 2019. My daughter was also selected to go to the Canada Games in judo, in 2023, being the best female judoka in the province for U52 at the time, after having practiced judo only for 3 years. I also helped her to build a strong mindset. She won Bronze at Nationals in 2024.

Accomplishments

  • As a teenager, I was the Regional champion in judo throughout my whole teenage years and I was almost always a gold medalist at evey competition as a child, going to the jduo club in Port-Cartier.
  • I was the Female winner for the 20 km run in Sept-Iles in both 1992 and 1993. showing a great determination in practice.
