As a third-semester Practical Nursing student at Sheridan College, Davis Campus, I am excited about the opportunity to strengthen my clinical expertise in a dynamic hospital environment that values adaptability and collaboration.
• Through my placements at Civic Hospital and Holland Christian Homes, I have developed a strong foundation in health assessment, infection control, and patient-centered care. At Civic Hospital, I actively participate in assessments, wound care, and patient transfers while maintaining accurate documentation. My previous long-term care experience helped me build confidence, communication skills, and a deep sense of empathy for diverse patient populations.
• I am particularly drawn to the CRT placement because of the variety and challenge it offers. Floating between different hospital units aligns with my ability to adapt quickly, manage priorities, and maintain composure under pressure. I take initiative, work effectively within interprofessional teams, and consistently uphold safety and quality standards.
• In addition to my clinical experience, I maintain all required hospital certifications, including CPR Level C + AED, Standard First Aid, Mask Fit Test, COVID-19 Vaccination, Vulnerable Sector Screening, and Worker Health & Safety Awareness.
