As a volunteer at a soccer camp, I channeled my enthusiasm for sports into fostering a dynamic and supportive environment for young athletes aged 6 to 12. My responsibilities included organizing soccer drills and games that emphasized teamwork, strategic thinking, and physical health. Alongside a team of dedicated volunteers and experienced coaches, I worked to ensure each session was not only fun but also conducive to skill development and sportsmanship. My role extended beyond the field, as I engaged with campers off the pitch, facilitating discussions on the importance of perseverance, respect, and healthy competition. This enriching experience not only deepened my appreciation for the sport but also strengthened my abilities in leadership and youth mentorship.
- Valedictorian of graduating class 2022
- OPDL soccer for 3 years
- 5 place in OFFSA skiing
- Led my school soccer team to the city finals
I have been doing soccer and skiing all my life. I started both sports at a very young age and have grasped the skill of them both I quit ski racing to pursue my soccer. I still free ski and sometimes instruct every winter. I played soccer up until last year at the highest level OPDL. I played six times a week for almost 2 hours everytime. I gained a lot of amazing friendships and memories with my time at North Toronto Nitros. I just brought up tennis, and have been learning. Overall, all those three sports will hold a special place even if I'm not doing them everyday. They have taught me so many life skills that I will hold on forever and am extremely greatful for.
