• Java Modernization projects : Gradle/Java/Spring Upgrade, Updating outdated libraries, performing regression testing, and deploying impacted features, moving on artifactory for dependency management.

• Designing and building data pipelines for daily feeds processing and reporting using python libraries, apache spark, databricks and snowflake.

• Collaborating with business and operations stakeholders, as well as other tech teams, to design and improve operational processes.

• Actively contributing by adding new features in the global monitoring, alerting, and regulatory reporting and filing system for the investment market.

• Resolving EOL libraries issues, Hygiene items to enhance firm's application security.

• Creating technical specifications, detailed and clear designs, end-to-end testing, and deployment plans for new features.

• Managing full development lifecycle: requirement analysis, coding, testing, user acceptance, deployment and maintenance following firm's approved standards and technologies.

As an intermediate software developer with experience in banking and finance, I was part of a SCRUM team and below is an overview of my achievements :

• Designed and built new features for on-premise ERP system following user requirements. (Tech stack: Spring Boot, Microservices, Restfull APIs, JPA/Hibernate, iReport, JasperSoft, JSF)
• Built a transaction reporting feature which includes statistics tracking and helped for data-driven decisions.
• Automated the reconciliation and cash balance confirmation process.
• Perl scripting for internal APIs load testing using HttpClient, multithreading, async requests.
• Built Java app to auto-generate accounting schemas for integration with core banking systems (Tech stack : Java, PL/SQL, Timers).
• Built a reporting platform for monitoring bill payment transactions (Tech stack : Angular 8, Spring Boot, Spring Security, JPA/Hibernate, Rest Services).
• Setting up collaborative tools for various internal teams (Mattermost, Bitbucket, Slack).
• Coordinated deployments of new software, feature updates and fixes.
• Lead a POC project for internal data project where purpose was to source, process and report business data from multiple datasources.

I Joined as a fresher just graduating and for over 5 years, I developed useful skills in designing and building software, in banking and finance and in project management. Below is an overview of my achievements at Express Union :

• As part of a team, built enhanced version of the international money transfer web app for agents (Tech stack: EJB, PrimeFaces, JPA, Oracle, SOAP, Maven, SVN, Junit5).
• Built reporting tool for tuition fees payment transactions as part of the partnership with the Ministry of Secondary Education (Tech stack: MySQL Crud, RESTful API, JPA/Hibernate, Spring framework, bootstrap).
• Automated operational tasks with cron jobs using Shell and Perl scripting.
• Served as the go-to IT person for any new integration with local and international partners for money transfers and bill payments (e.g., worked with teams from WorldRemit, WeCashUp, CashXpress and many others for system integrations).
• Built external facing RestFull APIs to facilitate and enhance integration with Mobile Money core system for online services like mobile cash deposits (Tech stack: Spring Boot, Spring security, REST, JWT, SQL, event management, method locking, Caching).
• Met with partners and customers to gather, analyze and prioritize requirements from a tech perspective.
• Worked with teams from various billing providers to enable users to pay their bills through Express Union system and for data reconciliation mechanisms.
