Key Responsibilities: Qualifications:

The Teacher Intern works under the guidance of an experienced mentor teacher to gain hands-on classroom experience in lesson planning, instruction, and student engagement. This role provides aspiring educators with an opportunity to develop essential teaching skills, implement instructional strategies, and support student learning in a dynamic educational setting.

• Assist in designing and delivering engaging, standards-based lessons that align with the curriculum.
• Work with small groups and individual students to provide differentiated instruction and targeted academic support.
• Support classroom management strategies to create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
• Assess student progress by grading assignments, providing feedback, and tracking academic performance under the supervision of the mentor teacher.
• Develop and implement interactive learning activities that cater to diverse student needs and learning styles.
• Collaborate with the mentor teacher to adjust instructional methods based on student needs.
• Assist in preparing classroom materials, bulletin boards, and instructional resources.
• Supervise students during transitions, recess, and extracurricular activities.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student growth and development.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and teacher training programs to expand teaching knowledge.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Education, Liberal Studies, Child Development, or a related field.
• Strong interest in becoming a licensed teacher and gaining classroom experience.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic classroom environment and follow mentor teacher guidance.
