• Reads water consumption meters and records volume used by residential and commercial consumers
• Inspects meters and connections for defects, damage, and unauthorized connections
• Turns service off for nonpayment of charges in vacant premises, or on for new occupants
• Working with customers to find solutions to high water bills

• Educating customers on how to conserve water
• Patrolling service areas to look for any visible leaks
• Preforming Water Conservation surveys and Irrigation checks
• Pulling data logs for customers who may have a leak on property or high usage
• Driving company vehicle safely

• Read electric and water meters enter data into handheld computer
• Drive city vehicles
• Upload handheld into office computer
• Meter inventory
• Diagnosis and verification of abnormal and normal consumption readings
• Checking meter for damage or unauthorized connections
