
The Casual Support Worker provides temporary, flexible support to the Mishkeegogamang Band Representative Program, focusing on supporting families and individuals in the community, particularly in relation to child and family services, cultural support, and community engagement. This role works under the direction of the Band Representative or designate and is expected to adapt to the needs of the program.
Assist clients in accessing community resources, services, and programs, including health, education, and social services.
Accompany and support families and individuals in cultural events, ceremonies, and gatherings as needed.
Document interactions, support provided, and outcomes for clients in accordance with program policies and confidentiality requirements
Foster positive relationships with community members, families, and other service providers to enhance support networks and collaboration.
Provide support during crises or emergencies, ensuring the immediate safety and well-being of children, families, and individuals.
Collaborate with emergency services, healthcare providers, and other agencies as needed to address urgent needs.
Inform the Band Representative or designate promptly of any crisis or emergency situations.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information and program activities, adhering to privacy policies and legal requirements.
Act with professionalism, respect, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
