Awarded funding by University of Toronto for a self-initiated proposal, “Reducing Barriers to Breast Cancer Examination Among the Highest Age-Specific Incidence Cohorts in Jordan”

• Conducted thorough literature reviews to identify gaps in knowledge and inform future research directions.
• Submit approved Research Ethics proposal to U of Toronto Research Ethics Board,
• Traveled to Jordan and facilitated 3 focus groups with women in relevant age cohort and 2 with healthcare workers about breast cancer prevention and gaps in knowledge translation
• Based on findings, create a plan with health promoters for culturally appropriate tools to promote breast cancer examination and dissemination
