Work History

Technical Intern

SlimPrep
Toronto, ON
05.2024 - 08.2024
  • Developed test plans, strategies, and processes for new software applications.
  • Ensured that all software defects were identified and tracked through resolution.
  • Identified potential problems before they occurred by proactively monitoring progress against defined metrics.
  • Worked with off-site teams to complete timely tests and facilitate smooth product releases.
  • Created and maintained SQLite database objects including tables, views, indexes, and triggers to ensure data integrity and performance efficiency.

Student – Hardware Design and Communication Course

University of Toronto
Toronto, Canada
01.2024 - 04.2024
  • Worked in a group of 3 that was part of a much larger system with the task of building an SDR (software defined radio)
  • Designed and implemented a demodulator purely through analog signal processing that achieved an image rejection ratio of 43dB (99.9% rejection)
  • Selected components and performed schematic capture, directed PCB layout and developed breadboarded prototypes for evaluation
  • Closely referenced the ICD (Interface Control Document) to ensure the PCB will successfully interface with the SDR’s motherboard
  • Conducted automated testing via pyVisa and EDA measuring devices to gauge the PCB's performance over 300 to 3000 Hz range
  • Analyzed data from tests performed on prototypes and identified areas for improvement in the design process

Student – Computer Organization Course

University of Toronto
Toronto, Canada
01.2024 - 04.2024
  • Wrote assembly and C programs to take in a message spoken into a microphone and play it out through a speaker with intended reverberations, to run a short animation seen in desktop screen savers on the VGA, and handle interrupts with input devices such as switches and the PS/2 keyboard.
  • Built a game like Candy Crush called FRUIT SMASH in C language on the Nios II processor.
  • With my partner, we developed algorithms to sort our game board and check for fruit matches as efficiently as possible.
  • In addition to double buffering, we rigorously optimized drawing functions to the VGA to draw sprites and game screen faster. This improved animation quality and game experience.

Student – Programming Fundamentals Course

University of Toronto
Toronto, ON
09.2023 - 12.2023
  • Setup a remote connection to a system with Linux operating system to compile and run C++ code more smoothly
  • Developed, tested and debugged software programs using C++ OOP.
  • Built a command line interface that I had used while configuring network devices on Cisco Packet Tracer.
  • Wrote a program to simulate customers at various registers in a queue, which you would find in a supermarket setting. With the aim to measure checkout efficiency of workers at registers to better allocate work bonuses.

Student – Digital Systems Course

University of Toronto
Toronto, Canada
09.2023 - 12.2023
  • Developed an understanding of the difference between combinational and sequential logic by exploring the idea of edge capture and shift registers.
  • Built a space battleship game on DE1_SoC FPGA in a two-man team and made use of the following devices: PS2 Keyboard and VGA.
  • Analyzed and debugged FPGA designs, including Verilog code, simulation results, and timing constraints.
  • Utilized ModelSim software to perform functional simulations of complex digital systems implemented in Verilog HDL language.

Technical Intern

Castlenet Consulting Limited
07.2023 - 09.2023
  • Mastered foundational networking concepts - architecture, protocols, data transmission - enabling advanced exploration of network security, connectivity, and broader IT landscapes.
  • Conducted Packet Tracer exercises, configuring network topologies, IP addresses, and routing protocols.
  • Explored troubleshooting scenarios, enhancing diagnostic skills, and practical application of networking concepts.
  • Empowered students to navigate the digital landscape with confidence and equipped them with essential skills for today's technology-driven world.
  • Designed engaging lessons encompassing hardware basics, software usage, internet safety, and effective online communication.

Student – Engineering Strategies and Practice II (ESP II) Course

University of Toronto
Toronto, Canada
05.2023 - 06.2023
  • Wrote and organized all meeting agendas throughout the course of the project.
  • Built a dynamic Gantt Chart on Excel to monitor task deadlines and project milestones.
  • Achieved cost-savings by developing functional solutions to problems.
  • Managed time effectively to ensure tasks were completed on schedule and deadlines were met.
  • Drafted reports summarizing progress made on project for review by CI and EM.

Assistant Electrical Engineer - Intern

Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited
, Nigeria
04.2019 - 05.2019
  • Assisted in carrying out corrective maintenance on faulty electrical equipment in collaboration with fellow operators, as required.
  • Under the supervision of the Lead Electrical Engineer, we consistently employed a prioritization system to address malfunctioning equipment. This approach aimed to prevent unnecessary rounds within the depot and enhance overall work-time efficiency by ~15%.
  • Monitored system performance by collecting data on temperature readings, current flow levels and voltage outputs.
