• Research credit in the Dr. Cheryle Seguin Lab. Investigating changes in gene expression when hydrostatic pressure is applied to inter vertebral discs. Lab skills- Experience with Mechanoculture TR device, RT-PCR techniques, RNA extraction protocols, cDNA development and data analysis techniques.

McMaster University Summer Research Position

• Working alongside McMaster faculty of medicine members to identify key adipokines characterizing cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Collecting data through literature reviews and McMaster biobanks. Created research proposals to ultimately build a predictive model for obesity and diabetes diagnosis. Data analysis through R program

Obesity Canada Data Collection Intern

• Academic journal research to understand the efficacy of current Obesity Guidelines implemented by Canadian physicians. Interviewing health policy experts, collecting research data. Goal was to re-vamp current national obesity clinical guidelines. Problem identification & systematic analysis
