- Supervision of up to eight social workers
- Be available by cell phone 24 hours per day, seven days per week, including holidays and weekends
- Review and sign social workers reports
- Perform monthly review of the social workers' case notes
- Assist with difficult situations with social workers, resource parents and children
- Complete Performance Appraisals on employees at the appropriate times
- Assist in the hiring, discipline, performance issues, and termination of social workers as needed
- Ensure social workers notify all necessary parties of incidents withing appropriate time frames and ensure incident reports are submit to Community Care Licensing within the required time frames
- Ensure social workers handle all crises promptly, in accordance with state and agency policies, and utilizing trauma-focused interventions
- Help evaluate necessary actions when informed of allegations against resource parents
- Communicate all concerns and actions taken, to upper management
- Assisted with intake/placement of foster youth by assessing needs of the youth and the skills of the resource parents to ensure homes are able to meet the unique needs of the child
- Complete home inspections and certification paperwork with new resource families, as well as re-certification paperwork with existing homes
- Work with Community Care Licensing to address any deficiencies or compliance issues with resource homes
- Facilitated resource parent trainings
- Other duties as assigned
