• Ensuring the Journeymen in the continuous supply of bricks, blocks, and other materials needed for walls, partitions, and other structures until the project is complete.
• Preparing mortar and other materials to the appropriate consistency for use in laying bricks, blocks, and stones ensuring standards set out by the engineers
• Coordinating the preparation of new construction locations by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and preparing work areas to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
• Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition, including inspecting tools after use and reporting any equipment issues and replacements needed.
• Safety Compliance by following safety protocols, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure adherence to building codes and safety regulations on job sites.
• Assisting in transporting materials, such as bricks, mortar, and scaffolding, to and from the work area to ensure the job runs smoothly.
• Collaborating with other tradespeople (e.g., carpenters, electricians, and plumbers) on the construction site to ensure that masonry work aligns with the overall project.
