• Leads management of relationships with host communities and regional organisations in alignment with BHP global strategy and Potash business objectives, to protect and enhance BHP's reputation, to manage risk and to contribute to social value creation.
• Collaborate with key Potash decision makers and teams to lead development of a Community Reference Group that includes leaders from urban, rural and Indigenous communities, Saskatchewan Provincial Government and BHP to ensure community readiness for 900 BHP employees by 2029.
• Work collaboratively with BHP Global Human Rights and Social Investment and Potash functional and Potash project teams to ensure recommendations, expertise and capabilities are shared.

• Lead Corporate Affairs participation in negotiation of development permits, road use agreements, community development projects and emergency services.
• Leads Corporate Affairs participation in study teams related to Potash growth options and supports community impacts and benefits for decarbonization and other Potash studies.
• Lead Potash Community required research and Community preparedness research including benchmarking and coordination of the asset and other functional input.
• Manage a team responsible for the BHP LeRoy community office and external community engagements including open houses and community leader and youth site tours.
• Identify community social investment projects, partnerships, sponsorships and industry memberships in support of Potash Social Value goals and Potash Social Investment Plan.

• Understanding and minimizing adverse social and human rights impacts arising from company activities at the Jansen Potash Project in Saskatchewan and Legacy Assets across Canada
• Focusing on strengthening relationships with host communities built on trust, contributing to community economic and social development, and executing a Community Management System (CMS)
• North American Corporate Affairs representative on the BHP Global Water Stewardship team and Potash Resilience Program facilitator

• Responsible for managing the BHP Jansen Project Community Office in LeRoy, Saskatchewan providing support for stakeholder engagements, events, community investment, point of contact for community complaints, concerns and enquiries related to site activities, procurement and employment opportunities.

• Successfully managed all aspects of local government administration including compliance with federal and provincial acts and regulations, municipal bylaws and policies, service provision, employee management, assessment and taxation, asset management, budgeting, financial plans and reporting, audits, permitting, policy and proposal development, project management, reporting, emergency services coordination, land use planning, economic development and communications
• Worked closely with Mayor and six Councillors
• Managed budgets in excess of $1.5 million, multiple capital projects, successful in gaining millions of dollars in federal and provincial grant funding for the community and lead a team of four full time employees and two part time employees.

• Founding member of Lottery that has now succeeded in raising nearly $2 million dollars for the LeRoy and district community. Developed the integrated ticket and receipting system, had responsibility for provincial licensing, coordinated volunteers and marketing.

• Development of emergency measures plan for Town of LeRoy ensuring relevant role descriptions were understood, resources clearly identified and relevant.
