- Attended monthly meetings with the lead pastor and other staff members in order to gain understanding about the craft of preaching.

- Delivered two stage announcements to the church in order to grow preaching and teaching experience.

  • Kids ministry team:

- Praying for all children and families within my care throughout the week whilst planning and preparing for the sessions.

- Welcoming all children warmly upon arrival. Striving to building rapport with the children and connection with parents so everyone can feel reassured and loved, facilitating a peaceful transition time.

- Implementing appropriate program activities for up to 15 preschool-aged children, leading them through structured playtime, engaging in worship, and participating in an active Bible study. Reinforcing learning by directing them through a craft and prayer.

- Ensuring connection with parents at departure time, aiming to send families into their week well.

This was in accordance with the sermon series calendar and it was piloted across the church's small group ministry.

- Worked with the assistant lead pastor to design small group infrastructure and growth strategy.

  • Preaching team:

- As part of my degree practicum, I attended preaching internship for 3 months. This involved attending weekly meetings with the lead pastor and four other cohort members, helping to shape and evaluate each sermon.

- Prepared and preached a sermon on transformation from Acts chapter 2 on 21 July 2024.

  • Communion team:

- Helped set up and break own the weekly communion table for a year.

  • Southampton Residential Care Home facility:

- Responsibilities included all manner of care (feeding, bathing, dressing, talking with residents) over a 12 hour shift, four days on, four days off.

  • Kid's ministry:

- Helped co-lead and grow a kid's ministry of 50 children at Hillsong Leatherhead from grade 1 to 5.

- Welcomed and registered all children upon arrival, lead group games.

- Facilitated teaching, prayer and worship sessions whilst also being a small group leader during sessions, encouraging personal learning and growth and connection.
