Anne Garr is a Canadian/British pop-crossover artist. She started out within the opera and theatre community taking part in various productions of ‘La Vie Parisienne, The Merry Widow and Carmen'
Not long after she branched into more contemporary styles winning various awards i.e. (National Music Competition-Montreal) (National Music Competition/ Flashdance -Montreal) (National Capital Region Music Competition-Ottawa) (Kiwanis Music Festival Top 21) coming in 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the different vocal competitions mentioned above as well as taking part in various concerts and charities (Charity concert for a Ukrainian family, Charity drive for various schools, Senior Home Christmas Concerts , Fine Dining restaurant opening ect...) Recently she was a guest vocalist at the Polish Embassy's Christmas and New year's Festival 2023 hosted by acclaimed international Opera singer Maria Knapik and the Polish Ambassador to Canada Witold Dzielski.
Discovered by Grammy Nominated Multi-Platinum Award winning Producer and A&R Executive Roy Hamilton who's skills have helped sell over 70 million albums for record labels and artists like Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, NYSNC, Backstreet Boys, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Austin French, Justin Timberlake, RCA, Universal Music Group among others. They have collaborated together on diverse projects gaining momentum and exposure on the international scene. Able to sing in many languages (French English, Welsh, Gaelic,Spanish, Italian, German ,Latin and Aramaic) she has released multiple singles to date, has collaborated on a pop-opera/rap song with up and coming rapper/producer Moomak based in France. All released material have been aired globally spanning 4 continents. Her version of ‘Amor Mio’ a tribute to Italian singer Mina has been well received and promoted on various Italian and South American magazines and radio. Her latest release a spanish-french version of 'Historia de un amor' has now been aired globally to many rave reviews. Anne Garr is currently working on the soon-to-be released pop song 'Echo' with acclaimed producer Roy Hamilton.
Dealing with Lyme's disease, incidentally the same illness that struck singers Shania Twain, Avril Lavigne, Justin Bieber and Kathleen Hannah she never gave up her dedication and passion for music ,believing that it only contributed to make her stronger and more determined to succeed .Through it all, Anne Garr hopes to use her voice through song as a means to bring comfort and joy to each and everybody, helping them realize that even when you're navigating through pain with hard work and perseverance you can truly make the impossible-possible. She counts Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman, Josh Groban, Lara Fabian, Celine Dion,
Barbara Streisand, Nana Mouskouri, Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day, her vocal coach Wanda Procyshyn and her mom Carmen as her greatest musical influences and the ones who have helped shape her vocal style and technique along with her own compositions and music productions.
