Dynamic early childhood educator with a background at Lou Grant Parent Child Workshop. Skilled in child development and conflict resolution. Experienced in fostering social-emotional learning and building meaningful relationships with the families of the children I teach. Committed to empowering families through education and resources. Dedicated and passionate about cultivating an environment that allows children to explore their creativity and peer relationships while ensuring their safety.
I work as a part time extended day teacher and substitute teacher at the Lou Grant Parent Child Workshop in Carpinteria. Our school is an extension of Santa Barbara City College. We are a cooperative based preschool and use evidence based child development methods to work with children and educate parents. Our school is a play based preschool that fosters an environment that encourages children to freely explore their creativity and learn conflict resolution with their peers through play. Prior to working at Lou Grant I spent three years there in the role of a parent which further expanded my knowledge and skills in the field of child development.
I worked as a waitress while attending college and caring for my young son.
