I was honored with the responsibility of undertaking various tasks during my Swissport training, such as Interacting with passengers:

  • Handling inquiries about flight times and gate location.
  • Offer solutions to complaints and direct customers to the appropriate informant.
  • Ensuring a positive experience by being able to indicate those in need beforehand in a manner that projects the values of Swissport. (People, Professionalism, and Partnership)

I was also allowed to oversee cabin crew swapping/switching for The Emirates airline. Which involves the following:

  • Receive the cabin crew at departures from the shuttle and ensure each member checks in their luggage under the corrected name.
  • Escorting the crew members through immigration and giving the officer the General Declaration of the flight.
  • Show them to the gate where the aircraft is parked and ensure they all enter.
  • Take the crew members who have just landed with their general declaration form to immigration at arrivals.
  • Ensure they receive their league and safely escort them to their shuttle.
  • Collect the flight transcript and copies of the General Declaration and give the documents to the boarding desk.

As well as tasks like setting up the checking counters by:

  • Make sure the display screen is showing the correct information.
  • Filling up the machines for the boarding passes.
  • Ensure each counter has enough tags for various travelling demographic groups/categories.
