As a Sobeys cashier, you are the face of the store and play a key role in delivering a positive shopping experience to every customer. Your primary responsibility is to process transactions accurately and efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Operate the cash register and handle all point-of-sale transactions, including cash, credit, debit, and gift cards.
• Scan and bag items efficiently while following store procedures and safety guidelines.
• Ensure pricing accuracy and apply discounts or promotions as applicable.
• Handle returns, exchanges, and resolve minor customer issues within scope of authority.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.
• Follow all store policies, including those related to health and safety, loss prevention, and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with fellow team members and management to ensure smooth store operations.
• Answer customer questions and provide assistance or direct them to the appropriate department when needed.
