For the past 2 1/2 years I have worked in food services for the SLCUSD. During this time I have done the salad bar as well as Cooked food anywhere from raw chicken to French toast sticks and sausage to roasted veggies. I have also worked the register ensuring the students coming through have whole fruit or a half cup portion of fruit and a positive experience by offering them a smile and asking how their day was. My job also requires me to work with chemicals such as cleaning solutions like sanitizer, bleach or degreaser. There have been times when I helped direct the work of others by teaching them how to cut a pizza or how to portion and measure along with showing them where to store items. I also work with production records and have menu planned as well as planned quantities. Currently, I am driving Tiger Bites, a golf cart serving line, and some of what that entails is ensuring is is charged and the appliances are functioning properly as well as ensuring there is washed fruit, milk and entrees; like pandulce and muffins being warmed, bagels being toasted, smoothie or parfait made along with ensuring the main entree that day is assembled whether it be French Toast sticks and sausage, breakfast sandwich, breakfast burrito, cinnamon rolls or oatmeal. While ensuring Tiger Bites is stocked with food, I also ensure that it is stocked with silverware and any condiments the students may want
I have a food managers certificate
