  • I have worked 8+ years as a Supervising Legal Clerk. During that time I have been tasked to manage the following units: clerical support in Investigations, Records Unit, Daily Calendar, Attorney Clerks, Witness Services Unit, Discovery, DA Juvenile Office, Communications Desk along with overseeing the Electronic Data Management project.
  • I have maintained a professional work environment with line staff, attorneys and executive staff. I also work closely with the other supervisors and to maintain success with effective collaboration.
  • Keep up with changes in the legal system, procedures and adapt new policies with the common goal to always improve our office work flow.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive staff information, fostering trust among my colleagues.

Legal Clerk IV & Temporary Supervising Legal Clerk

  • I started at the Sheriff's Department in April 2007 and by January 2008, quickly promoted to Legal Clerk IV. For the next 6 years my assignment was at the Civil Division. In October 2013 I promoted to Supervising Legal Clerk II and transferred to the Records Division at the Sheriff's Office Command.
  • For 15 months I had positive reviews in all facets of being a Supervising Legal Clerk but the Records Manager felt I needed to be more proficient with the SO's ICJIS case management system and demoted me back to a Legal Clerk IV.
  • January 2015 I devoted all my time to be proficient in the SO ICJIS system and 4 weeks later I was considered adept to be one of the prominent trainers for new clerical staff.
  • For 2 years I assisted in training 15 new legal clerks ranging from Legal Clerk I to Legal Clerk IV, on office procedures, policies, and systems utilized by the SO.
