Accomplishments

I was awarded ACTA's Leadership Award for 2022/23 for Travel Consultant of the Year for Canada.

In my relentless pursuit of exploring and traveling the world, with my passion for the travel industry and an entrepreneurial spirit, I have accomplished a successful travel career by creating my own travel companies and an airline service.

I have founded two bricks and mortar travel agencies and successfully operated them in Alberta and British Columbia.

I created a seasonal airline service between Revelstoke and Vancouver for skiers who fly directly to the base of the ski resort, this is the only service in North America. My project included the procurement of the aircraft, implemented a B2C online reservation system, lodging, skiing activities and ground transportation was coordinated to shuttle guests and I created the entire marketing program from online ads, a CBC morning show and billboards in Vancouver. I oversaw every aspect of the project, including being on the shuttle picking up guests. I was checking them in at the airport, pouring champagne and loading skis on the plane itself and calculating payload and relaying to the pilot, evaluating the entire project for maximum quality.

I accepted the challenge and professional risk by taking the role as Chief of Operations for a transportation and destination management company that had suffered poor management. During my three year tenure I proudly left the company financially successful, quadrupled sales, sourced the acquisition of two companies, negotiated the sale of shares from a stakeholder and mediated their removal from the operation.

I created a safe and healthy work environment. The company gained respect from its peers and from my due diligence and core values gained the respect from all the team players by listening to their needs and protecting their roles. It was very satisfying role for me.

I am proud of the privately hosted trips I have created for clients. An adventure around Morocco, sailing a yacht in the Med, River Cruising, gastronomy trips around Italy and ancient wonders of antiquity in the Med. My next hosted trip is hopefully the Arctic or Antarctic.
