• Perform routine track inspections throughout the Western Canada to identify potential conditions and defects. Mitigate such risks by implementing remedial actions & applying temporary slow orders in adherence to the Track Inspection Guidelines. Submit and coordinate planned work blocks with the Network Engineering Office. Arrange track protection in accordance with the Canadian Rail Operating Rules. Accompany and provide support to the ultrasonic rail flaw detection employees. Submit detailed production reports to senior management. Respond to occurrences throughout the system, directly impacting train operations.

• Plans, coordinates and implements inspection, construction, preventive maintenance and repairs to timber/steel bridges, culverts, retaining walls, tunnels and all related railway structures. Respond to emergency situations such as derailments, washouts and track outages. Implement emergency management procedures and carryout standard practices within a safety sensitive environment. Inspects all related railway bridges & structures and submits projected budgets for respective projects.
