  • Building sets and assets based off of art department references and client feedback
  • Creating assets with clean geometry to be used in a Arnold pipeline
  • Helping out on multiple productions from feature film sets, and network productions responsible for modeling, and surfacing both props and environments using Maya, Substance, Photoshop, and Z-Brush
  • Like many studios this was a shotgun pipeline that I am very familiar with

  • The job was a lot of fun with some really great people.
  • Unfortunately netflix cancelled our series like they did with other studios at the time before we were able to complete it.

  • My position had me performing all roles in the CG pipeline from tracking all the way through to compositing

  • The software packages I used most while at this company was Maya, Z-Brush, Nuke, PF-Tracking, Real Flow and Photoshop,

  • At Rocket Science my main role was to provide render ready elements to the compositing team
  • At this studio we were mainly dealing with live action shots with the occasional full CG scenes
  • We would do a lot of tracking, modeling, surfacing and projection mapping to achieve the results needed by the comp department
  • I did a lot of set extensions here dealing with low and high poly models.

  • This studio encouraged our creativity and which I feel can be seen in the end results that the artists produced
  • Our department was responsible for modeling and surfacing all of the assets and sets

  • I was tasked to create all of the NHL logos and sports bugs for CBC's Hockey Night in Canada
  • This included all team logos, trophies, and animations for the 2011, 2012 season
  • I was in charge of a small team 3D artists to and made sure that our end results matched the desired look of the Hockey Night in Canada producers
  • We primarily used Maya, Photoshop, and Nuke to create the short animations
