Over the last five years I have had the honour of being a part of our local Extra Life teams fundraising campaign. Extra life is a charity that focuses on raising funds for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, in our case that is the Stollery Children's Hospital through video games and fun. The Extra Life campaign is run through out the year with primary focus being on a singular 24-Hour marathon held in November and a secondary focus being continued fundraising, growth, and awareness through the year by partnering with a local Cafe and hosting community board game nights.

• Proudly participated in the Extra Life campaign for the past 5 years, transitioning to a leadership role as an organizer for the last two years.
• Played a key role in coordinating events to raise funds for the Stollery Children's Hospital through engaging video game-related activities.

Community Board Game Night Organizer

• Contributed to the organization of a lively weekly board game night at a local cafe, seamlessly integrated into ongoing Extra Life fundraising.
• Cultivated a positive community image by providing a welcoming space and actively teaching individuals of all backgrounds how to play games.
• Engaged the community, fostering inclusivity, connection, and joy through board games, leaving a lasting impact on both participants and the Extra Life charity.

During the summer of 2019, I had the pleasure of volunteering with the Fort McMurray Minor Baseball Association, actively contributing in the following capacities:

Fort McMurray Minor Baseball Association (Summer 2019):

• Facilitated the preparation of young athletes for games and practices.
• Coordinated and managed the distribution of meals for both youth participants and fellow volunteers.
• Executed field maintenance activities to ensure optimal playing conditions.
• Oversaw the upkeep of dugouts and maintenance sheds.
• Shared comprehensive local knowledge of Fort McMurray with visiting teams from across Alberta.
• Assisted in the organization and execution of the 2019 Alberta Baseball Provincials Tournament.
• Most importantly, laughed, joked around, had fun, and did my best to ensure every child had a smile on their face and a positive memory to take home.
