Andrea Hevia

Vaudreuil-Dorion,QC

Summary

Working for the pharmaceutical company Charles River Laboratory for 3 summers and during the pandemic of Covid-19. Starting as a support technician in toxicology during the summers to receiving the Inhalation Technician training to dose for pre-clinical trial studies. Receiving training as a Prosector 1 in the necropsy department. Liability, cooperation, leadership, good laboratory practices, all play an important role in this facility. As a recent graduate in Forensic Science with a specialization in Biology, my interests will be to continue on a pathology background and be involved and assisting autopsies. A masters in Pathology Assistant will be the next step in my career. This field requires to view the human body in a criminal aspect and subjectivity to analyze and report on the findings. A critical and analytical mind is needed in this field as well as knowing your own limits to what you can handle on the field.
