• Working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Transitional Liaison, Indigenous Patient Navigator, and Social work, to successfully facilitate patients safe and timely return home
• Working in a team atmosphere with RN colleagues, physicians, and midwives to provide collaborative and holistic care
• Providing education to colleagues through MoreOB, Fetal Health Surveillance and the Baby Friendly Initiative
• Acting as a resource for colleagues, collaborating and strategizing to help patients meet their their goals

• Participating in Quality Improvement projects, including Skin-to-Skin During Caesarian Section, Decision to Incision- Caesarian Section and Perinatal Substance Use

• Providing direct patient care in an acute care, surgical, obstetrical, pediatric and neonatal environment.
• Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team, including Obstetrician/Gynectologists, Anesthesiologist and Midwives
• Providing patients and families with current, timely information regarding their care.
• Precepting and mentoring third/fourht year nursing students and Perinatal specialty RNs.
• Educating colleagues through MoreOb and the Fetal Health Surveillance program.
• Acting in a charge nurse roll to help with the flow of the unit.
