I have always had a passion for design and decor. Over the past 5 years I have built a portfolio of residential real estate properties, along with my 3 business partners. This includes buying, renovating, renting, and selling homes. This has given me the opportunity to design and stage multiple homes, significantly increasing the value of the properties.
I also work with a local residential real estate investment company to stage their projects once they are completed (they follow the BRRR model). All properties selling on offer date with multiple offers, over asking price. I have been doing this since their inception in 2023. This is a side hustle that has been truly enjoyable and rewarding.
My 9-5 career for the past 26+ years has been with RBC in Commercial and Business Markets.
I am grateful for the experiences that RBC has allowed me to be part of, however, I am interested in exploring a change in career. My career at RBC started in 1998 when I started in personal banking. I quickly moved to business and commercial banking as I loved working with business owners and their Management teams. I enjoyed learning about what they do, why they do it, what their goals are, and providing creative solutions to help them grow their business.
I have been in several roles within Business and Commercial Banking, including Sr. Business Account Manager, Associate Account Manager, Business Deposit Specialist, Cash Management, and currently my role as a Commercial Solutions Specialist (for the past 3 years).
In my current role, I provide customized ‘beyond banking’ solutions to help businesses grow and thrive, based on their needs.
This includes supporting our Commercial clients and Senior Commercial Market clients across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and NorthWest Ontario. In addition to supporting clients directly, a key skill to being successful in this role, is my ability to build relationships across the region, internally (VPs, Commercial Account Managers, and other supporting roles that make up our Commercial Relationship Team).

Although I have received multiple awards and recognition during my career at RBC (both internally and acknowledgement from clients), the highlight for me was in 2021 when I was recognized for at the highest level within RBC - The Leo Award. This is awarded to the top 1% of 1% of employees across Canada, annually. This recognition was based on my strong leadership abilities, collaboration, proactivity, deep discovery routines, differentiated advice and onboarding routines.
